Introduction

IMG_0456November 2.  All Souls Day seems like an odd day to begin a blog.   Especially if that blog s main interest is about Living.   But maybe the day determines this blog.

It is a custom among Catholics to visit the cemetery on this day.   We do this to remember the souls that once lingered in the bodies that return to dust.  We pray over them and as always wind up praying for our own souls.   As Christians, we are asked to always remember we have souls.  We live in this world but are not of this world.

livingonginghamlane is an account of my journey to live fully and simply. — to live in this physical realm but reach for heaven.     It is a continuing tale of how  I work in this vast and modern city but my soul resides in a little Eden.
